Opportunity:

RN - MedSurg

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Self-scheduling with potential adjustments to maintain a balanced schedule
* Weekend requirement of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
* Holiday requirement of 2 summer and 3 winter holidays
* No on-call or standby requirements
* Floating may be required to other floors
* Work on a 22-bed MedSurg unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
* Charge nurse present on each shift and takes a patient assignment
* Nurse aides and patient care techs available on the unit with varying ratios
* Common patient diagnoses include acute stroke, neurological population, and general medical floor cases
* RNs are not required to titrate drips
* BiPAP and high-flow equipment present on the unit; respiratory therapy manages equipment but RNs may troubleshoot
* Centralized telemetry monitoring with RNs required to review strips each shift
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color requirement: Galaxy Blue
* 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
* Required certification: BLS
* BSN not required
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks
