Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg Tele

Job Details:

* 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Every other weekend required
* Holidays are required
* Cannot guarantee block scheduling - schedule is determined by manager
* Unit operates on a Virtual Integrated Care (VIC) nursing model
* 24-bed unit with a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
* Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) present at a 12:1 ratio
* Common diagnoses include CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and med/surg tele patients
* RNs must be able to read telemetry strips (tele monitor techs also monitor patients)
* Manage patients on CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen
* Float to all med/surg units as required
* Charge Nurse, House Supervisors, and Nurse Educators available on unit
* Charting system: Paragon
* Scrub color: Navy blue
* Required certifications: BLS Certification
* Strong communication and time management skills required
* Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a med/surg telemetry unit within a tower dedicated entirely to med/surg tele patients. The facility utilizes a Virtual Integrated Care (VIC) nursing model and supports staff with an experienced team of Charge Nurses, House Supervisors, and Nurse Educators. The organization maintains modern equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen capabilities to support a diverse patient population.
