Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* Variable shift schedule, 12-hour shifts with 7:00 AM or 7:00 PM start times
* Weekend coverage required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Self-scheduling
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* At least 1 year of ICU experience required
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Must be comfortable caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
* Experience with the following skills required: Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Care of Ventilated Patient, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Medical Intensive Care Unit, and Surgical Intensive Care Unit
* Experience with the following skills preferred: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), CVA/Acute Stroke Management, Hypothermia Protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP Monitoring, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Post Craniotomy, Post Neurosurgery Management, Spinal Cord Injury, and Traumatic Brain Injury
* Special procedures include EVD, CRRT (Prismaflex), CABG, IABP, and Impella
* Special equipment includes lifts available in all patient rooms
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal
* 2 professional references required, covering 1 year within the last 3 years

This facility is a well-established healthcare organization offering comprehensive intensive care services across a 20-bed unit. The unit supports a daily census of 10 patients and manages complex diagnoses including Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, ESRD, Trauma, and Subdural Hematoma. The facility provides robust interdisciplinary support services and is equipped with advanced technology to support critical patient care needs.
