Open Position: Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Opportunity:

CVOR RN/ CVOR Tech

Job Details:

* Work day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
* Must take at least 10 call shifts in a 6-week schedule
* Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call requirements apply to both RNs and Techs
* Call response time of 30 minutes required
* Mandatory call/standby requirement - everybody takes call
* Average of 4 cases per day across 2 suites
* Common cases include CABG, TAVR, minimally invasive and open valve replacements
* Minimum 2 years of cardiac experience required
* Scrubbing is not required for RNs
* Floating to Main OR may be required
* Charting performed in Epic EMR
* Hospital provides scrubs
* BSN not required
* Acute care setting
* Required certifications: BLS Certification, Crisis Protocol Approved
* Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

This acute care facility operates a dedicated cardiovascular operating room with 2 suites, providing specialized surgical services including complex cardiac procedures. The facility utilizes Epic as its electronic medical records system and maintains a structured on-call program to ensure comprehensive coverage for its cardiovascular surgical team. The organization supports staff with department-specific orientation and provides scrubs to all surgical team members.
