Opportunity:

ICU RN

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday shifts with weekend coverage as needed
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Daily census of 6 patients with 8 beds and 8 rooms available
* Float required to other units, typically Telemetry
* Self-scheduling available
* Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Epic charting system experience required and must be noted in work history
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* California state license required in-hand when applying; EMSA not accepted
* Two supervisor references required when applying
* Required skills include arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction, among others
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, phlebotomy, and lift teams

Facility:

This facility operates a focused intensive care unit with 8 beds dedicated to providing high-acuity care for adult and geriatric patients. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, phlebotomy, and interpretation services. The facility utilizes Epic as its primary charting system and maintains a low patient-to-nurse ratio to ensure quality patient care.
