Opportunity:

Sterile Processing Tech

Job Details:

* 5x8 shift schedule from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
* Rotating weekend schedule required
* Holiday rotation required
* Floating within scope to meet facility needs required
* Floating to sister facilities required - may be permanently switched to CSC, ART, or West Campus
* Guaranteed hours: facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* No more than 2 callouts permitted without a doctor's note; 3rd callout may result in removal
* No more than 3 tardies permitted
* Travelers will be added to Inclement Weather Team A or B
* Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Level I Trauma experience required
* Travel experience required
* Experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap required
* Preferred case experience: Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Ortho, Transplant, and GYN
* Required certifications: CBSPD and/or IAHCSMM/HSPA
* Skills required include: aseptic technique, biological indicators, high-level disinfection, immediate-use steam sterilization, scope/probe reprocessing, sets/tray assembly, sterilization wrapping procedures, and use of washers/sterilizers
* Experience with Acute Hospital OR, Ambulatory Surgery Center, and robotic equipment preferred
* Serves patient age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with 820 total staffed beds. The facility provides comprehensive surgical and sterile processing support across multiple campuses and service lines, including neurology, orthopedics, robotics, transplant, and more. The organization maintains high standards of patient care and sterile processing practices across a wide range of specialties.
