Opportunity:

RN - ICU (Neuro)

Job Details:

* Neuro ICU experience required - must score 3s-4s on skills checklist
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Travel experience required
* Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
* Every other weekend required - 4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
* Float between like units as needed to meet facility needs
* No on-call required
* Block scheduling available at manager's discretion
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period (guaranteed hours)
* Orientation: 12 hours
* Self-scheduling
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* All RTO must be submitted at time of submission; post-offer RTO may not be considered
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
* Scrub color: Any color
* Charting system: Meditech (experience required)
* Free parking
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Key skills include: CVA/Acute Stroke management, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Post Neurosurgery management, Traumatic Brain Injury, ICP monitoring, External Ventricular Drain (EVD), Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, Spinal cord injury, Ventilator management, CRRT, IABP, Impella, ECMO, and additional critical care competencies
* Experience with specialized equipment a plus: CRRT (Prismaflex or Prismax), IABP (Cardiosave by Getinge/Maquet), Impella (Abiomed)
* Unit supports Medical, Cardiac, and Neuro ICU patient diagnoses
* Comprehensive Stroke Center and STEMI Receiving facility
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, and more
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, due during compliance process prior to start

This acute care hospital operates 392 staffed beds and features a 38-bed ICU unit. The facility is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and STEMI Receiving facility, offering advanced critical care capabilities including CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ECMO. Interdisciplinary support services include Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and more, reflecting a commitment to comprehensive, high-acuity patient care.
