Open Position: Pharmacist - Pharmacist Inpatient

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $3101.80

Opportunity:

Inpatient Pharmacist

Job Details:

* Work weekdays Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with shift times varying but not extending past 9:00 PM
* Must hold a PharmD degree
* Must be licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of North Carolina
* At least one (1) year of experience required
* Prior experience with pharmacist dose protocols preferred
* Recent Epic EMR experience required
* Provide customer service to healthcare teammates over the phone and in person
* Verify medication orders and review orders checking for patient allergies, drug interactions, and drug disease state interactions
* Check orders for appropriate therapy and verify home medications against a medication reconciliation report
* Utilize pharmacist dose consults and consult with physicians, residents, and other members of the healthcare team as appropriate
* Check IV admixtures to ensure accuracy of final product and patient safety in accordance with USP 797/800 guidelines

Facility:

This facility operates a 24-hour, 7-days-a-week pharmacy department providing comprehensive inpatient pharmaceutical services. The pharmacy team works closely with physicians, residents, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective medication management for patients. The facility maintains high standards for patient safety and medication accuracy, supporting a collaborative interdisciplinary care environment.
