Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Block scheduling with days grouped together; will work with traveler schedule
* Weekend and holiday requirements apply
* No on-call or standby requirement
* No floating requirements
* LDRP unit with 8 LDRP beds and 2 triage beds
* Must have skills in labor, postpartum, and nursery
* Level 1 Nursery caring for patients 35 weeks gestation or greater
* Approximately 25 births per month
* Follows AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios
* Required to titrate Pitocin drips
* Uses OBIX electronic fetal monitoring system
* Computerized charting system utilized
* RT equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP present on unit
* Charge nurse takes patient assignments; no nurse aides or surgical techs on unit
* 2-day unit-specific orientation provided
* Scrubs: may use own scrubs or grey OR scrubs will be supplied
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
* BSN not required
* Acute care setting

This acute care facility operates a dedicated Labor and Delivery unit following AWHONN guidelines to ensure high-quality patient care. The unit features LDRP rooms supporting labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care in a single setting, along with a Level 1 Nursery. The facility is equipped with modern fetal monitoring technology and respiratory therapy equipment to support a comprehensive range of obstetric care needs.
