Opportunity:

RN - L&D/PP/MB

Job Details:

* Night shift position with 12-hour shifts
* 6-9 weekend shifts required in a 6-week period
* On-call requirement: 2-12 hour shifts per month; if census is low, RN will remain on call and be available to come in should census change
* Unit includes 15 L&D beds, 2 OR suites for C-sections, 3 triage beds, and 18 postpartum beds
* Unit averages approximately 160-200 deliveries per month
* Follows AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios
* Common patient diagnoses include preeclampsia, diabetes, no prenatal care, and substance use
* RNs required to titrate drips including Pitocin
* Charge nurse assists with triage; 1-2 surgical techs on per shift; postpartum has CNAs trained to assist
* OB and NNP in house 24/7; anesthesia in house 24/7; neonatologist available within 30 minutes
* Tele monitoring conducted through a dedicated tele room using Philips monitors; EFM system is OBIX
* Floating may be required between LDRP; in cases of extreme need, floating within Zone 3 locations possible
* Hospital scrubs required
* 2-shift unit-specific orientation; clinician must be in state for week of orientation even if first-day modules are remote
* Charting system: EPIC
* BSN not required
* Must reside within 60-mile radius; driver's license must be submitted
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), STABLE Certification

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother-Baby unit that follows AWHONN guidelines to ensure high-quality patient care. The unit is well-staffed with in-house OB, NNP, and anesthesia available around the clock, along with dedicated surgical techs and CNAs to support the clinical team. The facility utilizes advanced technology including EPIC charting and the OBIX electronic fetal monitoring system to support safe and efficient patient care delivery.
