Open Position: PT - Physical Therapist Outpatient

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2837.40

Opportunity:

Physical Therapist

Job Details:

* Work four 10-hour shifts per week from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
* Schedule flexibility available - may work five 8-hour shifts instead of four 10-hour shifts
* Cover one Saturday per month at the inpatient/acute rehab unit with one day off during the week in exchange
* No on-call requirements
* No float requirements
* Patient ratio of 1 to 4 patients
* Daily census of 8 to 12 patients depending on evaluations or treatments
* Approximately 10 visits per day
* One hour allocated for evaluations and 45 minutes for treatments
* Treat patients of all age groups including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include joint replacements, CVA, pain, fractures, neurological conditions, deconditioned patients, and vestibular issues
* Collaborate with seasoned PTAs, speech therapy, and occupational therapy services on-site
* Charting system: Cerner (preferred experience)
* Scrub color: Anything except blue, forest green, or maroon
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS
* WV physical therapy licensure required prior to start; pending state license accepted for submission
* Skills required include acute care, gait training, orthopedics, neurology, vestibular, geriatrics, and outpatient clinic experience

Facility:

This outpatient therapy clinic offers a collaborative and well-supported work environment, staffed with experienced physical therapist assistants as well as speech therapy and occupational therapy services. The facility provides a structured caseload focused primarily on adult and geriatric patients, with occasional pediatric and adolescent cases. Administrative support is available through an on-site secretary who handles all insurance-related tasks, allowing therapists to focus on patient care.
