Opportunity:

Medical Assistant

Job Details:

* 5 x 8-hour day shifts per week
* Collect vitals, room patients, and set up rooms
* Support providers with clinical duties
* Possibility for front office work as well
* Work with adult patients in an outpatient oncology setting with chemotherapy infusion appointments
* Daily census of approximately 30 patients with 12 rooms available
* Administer medications and perform aseptic technique procedures
* Perform blood glucose monitoring via glucometer and capillary procedures
* Prepare charts and conduct follow-up phone calls
* Verify insurance and complete authorization forms
* Obtain vital signs including height, weight, and pulse oximetry
* Record patient history, medications, and allergies
* Review lab tests and label specimens
* Administer immunizations including intradermal and intramuscular injections
* Handle pharmacy calls and patient refill requests
* Schedule appointments and perform telephone triage
* Float within skillset as needed to meet facility needs
* Must have at least 1 year of experience
* Required certifications: BLS, MA-C Washington State License (MA-R WA license is NOT accepted)
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* No on-call required
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

This outpatient cancer treatment center provides specialized oncology care including chemotherapy infusion appointments. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and maintains a structured environment with 12 treatment rooms to support comprehensive cancer care services. The team is dedicated to delivering high-quality care to adult oncology patients in a supportive outpatient setting.
