Open Position: RN - PACU

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2934.60

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

* 8-hour day shifts with variable start times between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM
* Monday through Friday schedule with call available
* Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations
* Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
* Phase I PACU experience required
* Inpatient experience required
* Cath lab recovery experience required
* Ability to float from preop to PACU required
* Prior travel experience within the last 12 months required
* Prior teaching hospital experience preferred
* BSN required
* Patient ratio of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
* Serve patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Daily census of 15 patients
* Patient diagnoses include urology, robotics, orthopedics, and general surgery
* Skills required include arterial line management, dysrhythmia recognition and management, blood product administration, central line care and management, IV vasopressors, narcotics and opioid analgesics, reversal agents, ICP monitoring, care of ventilated patients, conscious sedation, post-epidural management, malignant hyperthermia protocol, pain assessment and management, PCA pump management, and RASS
* Anesthesia types include general, local, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), nerve blocks, and spinal
* Procedure experience required includes bariatrics, ENT, gynecology, neuro, ophthalmology, orthopedics, vascular, pacemaker insertion, post cath lab procedures, TURP, total joint replacement, podiatry, robotics, and urology
* Required certifications: CA RN License, BSN, AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS
* Charting system experience required
