RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts on a 3x12 schedule
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* No call requirements
* Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
* Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring rhythm strips prior to start - failure of exam will result in contract termination
* Nevada RN license required prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Care for patients with CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure patients including pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and open heart surgery patients downgraded from ICU
* Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro
* May float to intensive care units for telemetry or medically appropriate assignments, medical surgical units, and other facility locations up to competency level
* Schedule varies based on department needs and may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
* May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period
* Facility reserves the right to call off without penalty for low census up to 48 hours per 13-week contract, which may be full or partial shifts
