Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts available for both day and night schedules (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
* Every other weekend requirement
* Holiday requirement: 1 major and 1 minor holiday for both winter and summer holidays
* First to float policy - may float to telemetry unit with a 1:4 ratio
* Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 in the ICU
* 24-bed ICU unit with intensivist in house 24/7
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
* Scrub color: Navy
* EMR system: Cerner PowerChart
* Must be able to read and interpret cardiac monitor strips independently (no monitor tech available)
* 24 hardwire telemetry monitors with 8 hardwire overflow
* Experience with vasoactive drips required including neosynephrine, levophed, vasopressin, amiodarone, dopamine, and dobutamine
* Ventilator experience required
* Must have experience performing neuro assessments
* Must have trauma experience
* General medical surgical ICU experience required
* Common patient diagnoses include trauma, MVC, post cath, post CABG, sepsis, and respiratory failure
* Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
* Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
* Prior travel experience preferred
* Floor-specific orientation consists of 2 shifts on the unit
* BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a 24-bed intensive care unit providing comprehensive critical care services to a diverse patient population. The facility maintains Level 2 Trauma designation and offers around-the-clock intensivist coverage, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy support to ensure the highest level of patient care. The organization utilizes Cerner PowerChart as its electronic medical records system and supports a collaborative care environment with charge nurses dedicated solely to unit management.
