PT - Outpatient/Acute Care

Job Details:

* Work across two locations: main campus in Spruce Pine and Burnsville Outpatient Clinic
* Outpatient clinic is located on the 1st floor in the building across from the ED
* Patient ratio of 9-11 patients per day per FTE
* Utilize equipment including PT modalities, pool, cardiovascular equipment, Biodex balance system, and fitness center
* EMR systems: Cerner for acute care and Nethealth Xfits (formerly ReDoc) for outpatient
* Outpatient and acute care experience required
* Preferred experience in orthopedic/sports medicine/spine/manual therapy and vestibular/vertigo/stroke
* Typical procedures include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, vestibular rehab, balance training, and gait training
* Team-oriented and outgoing personality preferred
* Must be licensed as a PT in the State of North Carolina
* Dress code: Purple (eggplant) scrubs for acute care; business attire or polo and khakis for outpatient
* Weekend rotation every 5th weekend - Saturday only with priority patients averaging 2-3 hours; no Sunday visits

Facility:

This facility operates a 60-bed acute care hospital alongside two outpatient clinics, offering a comprehensive rehabilitation services department. The rehabilitation team consists of 19 staff members including physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, occupational therapists, certified occupational therapy assistants, and speech-language pathologists. The facility provides a well-rounded clinical environment with modern equipment and dual EMR systems to support both acute and outpatient care settings.
