Open Position: RN - Short Stay

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2557.72

Opportunity:

RN - Pre/Post Op

Job Details:

* Variable shift with three 12-hour shifts per week
* Start times vary between 5:00 AM, 7:00 AM, or 8:00 AM
* Monday through Friday, variable days with 6-week schedules provided in advance
* No on-call required
* Provide pre and post operative/procedure care for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
* Minimum 2 years of recent Pre-Op/Perioperative experience required (OR experience does not qualify)
* Minimum 1 year of experience in pre and post op diagnostic cath lab preferred
* Must have Epic experience
* Identify and respond to symptoms of cardiac or respiratory distress or other impending emergencies
* Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and manage care of patients during life-threatening emergencies
* Demonstrate knowledge of lead functions and application and make recommendations for best monitoring based on patient presentation
* Review medical history, physical examination, nursing care plan, and all available assessment data
* Delegate patient care tasks to ancillary personnel based on individual competency and scope of practice
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS
* Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
* Completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia class with passing score required
* Current RN license in state of practice required

This 162-bed acute care facility has been serving its community since 1959 and features a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a county-designated trauma center. The facility offers a comprehensive outpatient surgery unit and supports a wide range of patient populations from infants to geriatric patients.
