Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* Holiday shifts required
* Must have open heart experience
* Primarily assigned to CVICU with floating within critical care units (ICU/PCU only)
* May be required to float throughout Region Two facilities in the area
* ICU patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2; PCU patient ratios are 1:3
* 82 critical care beds across three separate floors (48 ICU, 34 PCU)
* Charge nurse available on each floor
* 2 nurse aides per floor
* Telemonitor techs available in PCU only
* Hospitalist or intensivist on-site during day shift; available via virtual ICU at night
* Manage all ICU level drips and ventilators
* IV team, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy support available 24/7
* Chart using EPIC electronic medical records system
* Treat all critical care diagnoses including common ICU patient types
* Minimum of 2 shifts of floor-specific orientation provided
* No scrub color requirements
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA)
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
