Job Details:

* Work straight evening shifts from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday
* On-call required 1 to 2 days per week and every 3 to 4 weekends
* 1:1 nurse to patient ratio
* Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience required
* Large hospital experience required (250+ beds with Level 1 trauma status)
* Experience working in an acute facility with 15 or more OR suites required (outpatient center experience will not be considered)
* Strong Neuro experience required, focusing on craniotomies and spine procedures
* Strong Ortho experience required to allow for versatility when handling cases
* Must be comfortable working in General surgery cases
* Experience with robotics, DaVinci preferred
* Experience with General surgical cases, GYN, Urology, and laparoscopic procedures required
* Strong Neuro/Ortho procedures experience with navigation required
* Serve as circulating nurse responsible for documenting and caring for patients in the operative setting
* Duties include sterile prepping of surgical sites, catheter insertion, opening sterile supplies, positioning patients, documenting within an electronic record, and setting up operating room equipment
* Utilize equipment including computerized charting via EPIC, Accudose, cautery, lasers, laparoscopic equipment, arthroscopy equipment, and Stealth navigation for Neuro cases
* 25 OR suites with 75 to 100 cases per day on average
* May float to alternate campuses on a rare basis
* Required certifications: BLS
* Active RN license (ND or Compact) required
* Scrubs provided in Ceil Blue
* Must badge in and out at the facility

Facility:

This is a large acute care facility with Level 1 trauma status and 25 operating room suites, performing 75 to 100 surgical cases per day on average. The facility offers a comprehensive range of surgical specialties including Neuro, Ortho, General surgery, GYN, and Urology. The operating rooms are equipped with advanced technology including robotic surgical systems, Stealth navigation, laparoscopic and arthroscopic equipment, and an EPIC-based electronic charting system.
