Open Position: Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology

Job Details:

* Open to 4x10 or 5x8 shift schedules
* 4x10 hour day shifts with variable start times of 6:00 AM or 7:30 AM
* Daily caseload of 5 to 12 patients
* Most volume comes from stress tests with basic study types
* Weekend call required with evening and weekend call shared among 3 technologists
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks as guaranteed hours policy
* Must be comfortable performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures including stress tests, bone scans, renal studies, liver imaging, ventilation/perfusion studies, and whole body scans
* Experience with Siemens cameras required (2 cameras on site)
* Transport team available to assist technologists
* No PET imaging performed at this facility
* Experience with starting and maintaining IVs required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Community hospital experience required
* Patients include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Minimum 1 year of nuclear medicine experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ARRT (Nuclear Medicine Tech certification), NMTCB, and California State License

Facility:

This acute care hospital operates with 212 staffed beds and provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient services. The nuclear medicine department features two Siemens cameras and maintains an average volume caseload with a focus on cardiac stress testing and basic nuclear medicine studies. A dedicated transport team is available to support technologists throughout their shift.
