Opportunity:

Registered Nurse: MED/Surg ER

Job Details:

* Full-time position working 36 hours per week
* Night shift schedule with weekend rotation
* Perform nursing care and services including observing and recording signs and symptoms, administering sterile treatments, and assisting with patient examinations
* Prepare, administer, and document oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous medications using barcode scanning in electronic health system
* Monitor and manage IV sites, rate of flow, and discontinuation of IVs
* Provide total patient care across multiple areas including ER, Med/Surg, LDR, and Nursery
* Perform selected procedures and therapeutic treatments in the Emergency Room
* Observe and provide care to obstetrical patients through labor, delivery, and post-partum stages
* Observe and provide care of newborns
* Record and transcribe patient orders from physicians
* Maintain accurate and complete patient records
* Assist in training and orientation of new employees
* Participate in Quality Assurance programs and educational workshops
* Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current valid state nursing license
* Required certifications: CPR, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, and STABLE
* Must have strong communication skills
