RN - Women's Services (L&D)

Job Details:

* Work in a Labor & Delivery unit with 9 L&D beds, 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, and a 3-bed OBED
* Patient ratio of 1:2
* 4 weekend shifts required per month
* Floating policy includes floating to mother/baby or outside department to task
* Document using CPN and Meditech systems
* Unit supported by unit secretary and scrub tech, with dedicated CRNA and midwife in-house 24/7 and OBGYN on call
* Perform procedures including circulating in OR, IUPC, FSE, MgSO4, postpartum hemorrhage management using JADA system, and nitrous oxide administration
* Advanced skills in Spinning Babies and STABLE preferred
* Must demonstrate drive to provide highest quality of care to laboring patients and ability to support patient choice and promote vaginal birth opportunities
* Dress code: Hot pink top and black bottoms required
* Required certifications: RN, ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring
* Patient experience scores must remain above 75%

Facility:

This award-winning facility operates a Women's Services unit recognized as an HCA Unit of Distinction in 2021 and serves as a TIPQC Pilot Hospital for NTSV and Team Birth. The unit utilizes a laborist team model with 24/7 midwife coverage, dedicated CRNA, and on-call OB support. The facility personalizes each birth experience to patient desires and needs, offering couplet care in the postpartum unit to keep newborns at the bedside and promote breastfeeding, including donor milk availability. An 8-bed Level 2 NICU with a dedicated Neonatal Nurse Practitioner available 24/7 and for all high-risk deliveries supports the unit's comprehensive care model.
