Job Details:

* Night shift position working 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts on weekdays and weekends
* 13-week contract with possibility of extension
* Patient ratios of 1:5-7
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* Travel experience not required
* Schedule requests cannot be guaranteed but unit will make best efforts to accommodate travelers
* No scrubs provided
* Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (must be through American Heart Association where applicable)
* WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission
* Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles from the facility
* Care for adult patients in a 34-bed acute medical-surgical unit with a daily census of 25-30 patients
* Skills required include but are not limited to: blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, IV insulin protocols, PICC line management, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, interpretation of dysrhythmias, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Facility will only tolerate 2-3 call offs per contract due to attendance expectations

The unit operates in a fast-paced environment where nurses and clinical assistants are expected to be adaptable and well-prepared. The nursing staff emphasizes teamwork, compassion, and evidence-based practice to ensure safe, high-quality care, while maintaining a strong balance of experienced and novice staff members.
