Job Details:

* Work four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
* OR is closed on holidays and weekends except for call coverage
* Call shifts required on weekday nights and weekends with a 30-minute response time - must be dressed and ready to work within 30 minutes
* Call shifts are approximately 3-4 per month; weekday call hours are 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with 24-hour call on Saturday and Sunday
* Weekend rotation is approximately 1 weekend every 6-7 weeks
* Holidays are covered by call
* Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
* Scrubs are provided
* Charting system: EPIC
* Telemetry system: Philips
* Facility has 3 OR suites and 1 procedure room with a shared PreOp area
* Case volume varies: Tuesday/Thursday can range from 20-22 cases per day; Monday/Wednesday/Friday range from 6-14 cases per day
* Common case types include total joints (hip, knee, shoulder), sports medicine, arthroscopies, ORIF, ACL repairs, carpal tunnel, cataract surgeries, bowel resections, scopes, EGDs, gallbladder, appendectomies, breast biopsies, mastectomies, C-sections, hysterectomies, urology, plastics, and ENT
* Staffing ratio is 1:1 with typically 2 OR Techs/RN per room
* Charge nurse available 24/7
* RT available in-house 24/7
* Scrubbing not required for RNs
* Travelers do not float
* 3-shift orientation with a preceptor following general hospital orientation
* Prior travel experience preferred; first-time travelers with strong OR experience will be considered
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
* Valid state license required prior to submission
