Opportunity:

RN - Step Down Unit

Job Details:

* Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
* May float to Medical/Surgical unit as needed
* Minimum 2 years of recent step-down or telemetry experience required
* 6 months of cardiac step-down or telemetry experience within the last 2 years preferred
* Provide nursing care to patients in a step-down unit, including stable and emergent patient situations
* Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and manage care during life-threatening emergencies
* Administer medications, intravenous therapy including blood products, and care for indwelling catheters and drains
* Demonstrate knowledge and skills in care of patients post coronary intervention requiring femoral sheath removal with Femostop Device
* Demonstrate knowledge and skills in care of patients post permanent pacemaker and post AICD placement
* Supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel within their scope of practice
* Verify alarm settings with Monitor Technician and demonstrate knowledge of lead functions and application
* Must be proficient with Epic electronic health records system
* Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
* Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia Course preferred; Critical Care Course preferred
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA or ARC), NIHSS
* Current RN license in state of practice required

This 162-bed acute care facility has been serving the Central California Coast community since 1959. The facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and serves as a county-designated trauma center, offering a comprehensive range of specialized medical services to the surrounding community.
