Opportunity:

Free Standing ER RN

Job Details:

* Work three 12-hour shifts per week on a rotating schedule consisting of two night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) and one mid shift (11:00 AM to 11:00 PM)
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Patient ratios of 1:5-7 depending on shift and day
* Possible float to sister free-standing emergency department locations as needed
* Facility may call off one shift per two-week period
* 1 year of general emergency experience required including adult and pediatric patients
* First-time travelers accepted
* Experience with CVA and Epic charting system required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* Preferred certifications: NRP, TNCC
* South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN license required
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Charting system: Epic
* Required skills include management of dysrhythmias, central line care and management, IV vasopressors, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, triage, blood product administration, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, and emergency medications
* Must be able to care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Block scheduling is available upon manager approval based on unit needs
* Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

Facility:

This stand-alone emergency department facility provides comprehensive emergency care services to the surrounding community. The facility operates with a daily census of approximately 50 patients across 15 rooms and 14 beds, offering interdisciplinary support including interpretation services and radiology. The facility is equipped to handle a wide range of general emergency cases for patients of all ages and maintains high standards for clinical excellence.
