Opportunity:

RN - MedSurg Stepdown

Job Details:

* Night shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Day shift hours available from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
* Weekends and holidays required as scheduled
* Work on a 34-bed MedSurg Stepdown and Floor unit
* Stepdown ratios of 1:3 and floor ratios of 1:5-6
* Required to titrate drips
* Must be proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
* Telemetry technicians post strips each shift, but RN must be able to independently read and interpret strips
* Respiratory therapy is available in-house 24/7 with ventilators present on the unit
* Charge nurse and transport RN available from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM at optimal staffing
* Typically 2-5 clinical assistants available on the unit
* May be required to float to other units
* Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* BSN not required
* Required certification: BLS
* Cannot approve any time off from December 20th through January 2nd

The facility maintains strong support systems including in-house respiratory therapy available around the clock, telemetry monitoring technicians, and clinical assistants to support nursing staff.
