Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

* Work day shifts from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
* ICU Stepdown/PCU unit with 20 beds
* Patient ratio of 1:4
* Work alongside a team including 1 Charge RN, 5 nurses, and 3 PCTs on day shift
* Minimum 1 year of current PCU experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH
* Experience with telemetry, transport monitors, suction, feeding pumps, trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, heated high flow, chest tubes, Foleys, pacer wires/pacers, IV pumps, and SCD pumps
* EMR system: Meditech
* Perform procedures including chest tube placement and removal, pacer wire removal, and 12-lead EKGs
* Manage drips including heparin, tikosyn, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, Lasix, and ketamine
* Extensive neurology experience preferred
* Cardiac experience preferred
* Fast-paced, high acuity cardiac unit at a cardiac center of excellence
* Ideal candidate is a high-energy team player

The unit is well-equipped with modern technology and staffed by an experienced team of RNs and PCTs. The unit supports high-acuity patients and provides a dynamic setting for travel nurses looking to expand their clinical expertise in cardiac and PCU care.
