Open Position: Certified Surgical Tech - Certified Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

* 13-week assignment on the CVOR unit
* Shift hours from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM with rotating weekends
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* On-call requirements apply
* 2+ years of hospital or specialty experience required
* Heart experience and CV heart transplant experience required
* BLS certification required
* Certified Surgical Tech (CST) only - no First Assist (TX Certified)
* Documentation system: Meditech
* 3-4 patient assignments; travelers will be asked to care for admission holds
* All travelers are required to float per facility floating policy
* Procedures performed include: Coronary Artery Bypass, Surgical Valve Replacements, Adult Heart Transplant, TAVR, Pediatric Hearts, Thoracic/Lung Procedures, and Ventricular Assist Devices
* Preferred skills include: Pediatric Heart Experience, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump experience, Cell Saver, Peripheral Vascular, and Meditech experience
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Nails must be clean and healthy
* Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be clean and neatly trimmed
* Body art should be covered whenever possible; uncoverable body art will be addressed individually
* Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
