Open Position: RN - Med Surg

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $1740.04

Opportunity:

RN Med Surg / MC Lewisville / 7P-7A

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Ortho Trauma Unit / Med Surg position on the 4th floor
* Patient ratio of 1:6
* Night shift staffing includes 1 Charge Nurse, 4-5 Nurses (RN/LVN mix), and 2-3 PCTs
* Use Baxter IV pumps and Welch Allyn VS machines
* Document using Meditech EMR system
* No on-call requirement
* May float to sister department (Surgical Telemetry Unit) or Inpatient Rehab
* Perform patient ambulation and wound care as needed
* Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required
* BLS certification required
* Charge experience and preceptor experience preferred
* Positive attitude and team player mentality preferred

This facility features a well-staffed Ortho Trauma and Med Surg unit with a strong department culture where staff support one another during busy shifts. The unit benefits from a dedicated admission and discharge team that assists with the admitting and discharging process for Med Surg patients, allowing nursing staff to focus on quality patient care. The unit operates with a collaborative RN, LVN, and PCT team structure across both day and night shifts.
