Opportunity:

RN - MedSurg Oncology

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required
* Weekend and holiday requirements apply
* Nurse-to-patient ratios: 4-5:1 on days, 4-6:1 on nights
* 32-bed MedSurg Oncology unit
* 2 years of nursing experience required with medical-surgical experience required
* Chemo experience only required if noted in interview queue submission
* Competence with chest tubes, central lines, and heparin drips required
* Common procedures include general assessments, IV starts, portacath access, and medication administration
* RT equipment includes CPAP and high flow
* CNAs available at a 1:8 ratio
* Charge nurse on unit who will rarely take patients
* Standby requirement for low census
* Floating to Heart Center, General Medicine, Post-Surgical, and Ortho-Neuro units may be required
* No self-scheduling or block scheduling available
* Charting system: EPIC
* Two 12-hour shifts of unit-specific orientation required
* Required certifications: BLS required; ONS, CHPN, and OCN preferred
* BSN not required
* Scrubs required in any color; no tattoos visible above shoulders, only nose studs permitted as facial piercings, and natural hair color only

This acute care facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering a wide range of medical services including a dedicated MedSurg Oncology unit. The facility utilizes EPIC as its charting system and provides structured support through charge nurses and certified nursing assistants to ensure quality patient care.
