RN - ER

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Schedule options of 3x12s or 4x12s per week
* May float to Twin Cities location as needed
* Provide nursing care including triage, treatment, and discharge care for Emergency Department patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics
* Complete accurate triage assessments on all patients and notify Emergency MD of all abnormal signs, symptoms, and vital signs
* Review and complete patient orders in a timely manner
* Recognize and respond to symptoms of cardiac or respiratory distress and other impending emergencies
* Administer medications and provide medication side effects teaching to patients including discharge instructions
* Perform intravenous therapy including blood products administration
* Provide care and maintenance of indwelling catheters and drains
* Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and manage care of patients during life-threatening emergencies
* Demonstrate knowledge of lead functions and application with ability to recommend best monitoring based on patient presentation
* Demonstrate appropriate knowledge and skill during Code Blue, Code Stroke, Sepsis, and Trauma Activations
* Minimum of 2 years recent Emergency Department experience required
* Associate Degree (A.S.) or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
* Recent EPIC experience required
* Current RN license in state of practice required
