Opportunity:

RN - MS/Tele

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour day shifts
* Every other weekend coverage required, may change based on unit need
* Floating to other units and/or campuses is required based on census needs
* Must have at least 2 years of experience in MS/Tele field
* Must have at least 1 year of experience with Epic EMR to apply
* Must be able to pass an EKG exam and complete core competencies due to floating possibilities
* Experience in MS/Tele required as travelers will float and must be qualified across both areas
* Patient ratio of 5:1 on days, nights, and weekends
* Unit serves adult patients with medical/surgical, orthopedic, general, urology surgery, and non-telemetry diagnoses
* Daily census of 23 patients with 36 beds available
* Medication system: Omnicell
* Documentation system: Epic
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and SC RN license
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, chest tube management, colostomy/ileostomy care, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care, heparin and insulin administration, isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula, oral suctioning, PCA, peripheral line care, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and surgical drain management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Orientation is 24 hours

This healthcare facility operates a Medical/Surgical unit that cares for adult patients across a broad range of diagnoses including orthopedic, general, and urology surgery cases. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more. The facility utilizes Epic for documentation and Omnicell for medication management, and maintains a strong commitment to qualified, competency-verified staffing across its units and campuses.
