RN - ICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* Holiday requirements vary based on unit needs
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 in ICU, 1:5 for medical patients, and 1:4 for PCU patients
* Float to PCU and medical floors as needed
* Titrate drips including vasopressors, insulin, TNK, heparin, IV antibiotics, and sedatives
* Work with ventilators and BiPAP equipment
* Required to read and interpret telemetry monitor strips independently
* Common diagnoses include COPD, pneumonia, CVA, TIA, DKA, sepsis, CHF, STEMI, and neuro cases
* 24/7 critical care coverage available with E-ICU staffed by nurse and APRN
* Charge nurse present on each shift with patient assignment
* Patient care techs available on unit
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* First week includes system orientation and onboarding followed by 1-2 twelve-hour shifts of unit-specific orientation
* Must pass an open book skills exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
* Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
* 50-mile radius rule applies

The facility provides 24/7 critical care coverage with an E-ICU staffed by both nurses and APRNs around the clock.
