LPN - Medical Surgical

Job Details:

* 48 guaranteed hours per week
* Patient ratio of 6:1
* Float to other medical surgical telemetry units based on staffing and patient care needs
* Royal blue scrub color required
* Work with equipment including telemetry, IV infusion pumps, bladder scanner, EKG, enteral feeding pumps, BiPap, vapotherms, wound vacs, PCA pumps, trapeze, vein finder, and dopplers
* EMR system: Meditech
* Current LPN license required
* BLS certification required
* ALS certification required
* Medical-surgical experience required
* Ability to care for telemetry patients required
* Strong physical assessment and critical thinking skills required
* Ability to manage care for patients with multiple co-morbidities required
* Telemetry experience preferred
* Prior ortho-neuro-trauma experience preferred
* Meditech experience preferred
* Perform wound care and dressing changes, wound vac management, blood administration, PCA and epidural management, and chest tube management

Facility:

This facility operates a 36-bed medical surgical unit located on the 7th floor of the main tower. The unit is staffed by both RNs and LPNs across day and night shifts, with staffing levels that vary by shift and census. The unit is equipped with modern medical technology and focuses on delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
