Opportunity:

RN - Emergency Department

Job Details:

* Work in a 22-bed Emergency Department with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
* Utilize Meditech EMR system for patient documentation
* BSN required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC
* 1 year of ER experience preferred
* Nursing dress code: Royal Blue scrubs
* Accurately assess patient acuity and assign appropriate triage levels
* Identify and prioritize patient needs in an organized and timely manner
* Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement appropriate plans of care
* Oversee all aspects of patient care and coordinate diagnostic tests and treatments to ensure timely patient movement through the Emergency Department
* Provide maximum patient safety at all times
* Maintain flexibility in performing work duties to adapt to changes in patient volume
* Demonstrate critical thinking skills and age-specific knowledge of human growth and development
* Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI)
* Promote and exhibit teamwork with a positive attitude
* No floating required

Facility:

This medical center operates a full-service Emergency Department located on the first floor of the main building, staffed around the clock with dedicated nursing and support staff. Both day and night shifts are supported by a charge nurse coordinator, patient care technician, unit clerk, and five registered nurses. The facility emphasizes quality patient care, customer service, and collaborative teamwork across nursing units and ancillary departments.
