Job Details:

* Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Schedule options of 4x12 or 3x12 night shifts
* Weekday and weekend shifts required with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
* 13-week contract with possibility of extension
* 2+ years of RN experience required
* Work on a 34-bed medical/surgical unit with telemetry monitoring
* Patient ratios of 1:5-7
* Daily census of approximately 30 patients
* Adult patient population
* Charting system: Cerner
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
* WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission
* Minimum 2 Manager and/or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years required
* Skills required include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care/management, telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, heparin protocols, wound care/wound vac, PICC line management, and peripheral line care/management
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Facility allows a maximum of 2-3 call offs per contract

The unit utilizes an acuity tool to optimize patient assignments and ensure appropriate staffing levels, with clinical nurse coordinators providing leadership on every shift through daily huddles, patient flow management, and patient rounding. The facility fosters a collaborative environment where registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, clinical assistants, unit clerks, and patient care technicians work together to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
