Opportunity:

RN - MICU

Job Details:

* Work in a 31-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
* Patient ratios of 2:1, with occasional 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity and staffing
* Unit secretary staffed during day shift with occasional nurse extern working as a tech
* Work with equipment including ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000
* Document using Meditech system
* Minimum weekend requirement of 4 weekend shifts per schedule
* Schedule completed in 4-week increments with self-scheduling options; manager may adjust shifts to balance schedule
* Contract labor is first to float; may be required to float to med/surg and take full assignment if staffing need arises
* Perform and assist with procedures including insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions
* Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members
* Required dress code: navy scrubs, tops and bottoms
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Active RN license and ICU experience required
