Opportunity:
RN - Med/Surg Telemetry
Job Details:
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions, care plans, and patient goals
* Provide patient care based on established standards of care, protocols, and policies and procedures
* Administer medications and intravenous therapy safely in accordance with physician orders and protocols
* Assess and reassess patient pain levels utilizing the numerical pain scale and notify physicians as needed
* Interpret and document patient cardiac rate, rhythm, and configuration and initiate appropriate treatment plans
* Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment such as traction/orthopedic devices, feeding pumps, chest tubes, and drains
* Provide patient and family teaching based on identified learning needs, readiness to learn, and barriers to learning
* Collaboratively plan and prepare patients and families for discharge incorporating support systems and resources
* Appropriately delegate and supervise nursing interventions performed by others
* Provide thorough and accurate documentation of all pertinent data, therapeutic interventions, and patient responses
* Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience preferred
* Minimum 1 year of Telemetry experience preferred
* Minimum 1 year of Pediatrics experience preferred
* Current MA RN license required
* ACLS certification required
* PALS certification preferred
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
