Opportunity:

Gen 2 Acute - PCU

Job Details:

* Mixed unit position covering PCU, Med Surg Tele, and Med Surg patients
* Patient ratio of 1:4 on all shifts
* Every other weekend required
* No block scheduling available
* Float required within service line and between Toledo, Flower, Bay Park, and Wildwood facilities as needed
* Float units include: Neuro/Stroke, Cardiac, Orthopedic, Trauma, Oncology, General Surgery, Uro/Vascular, and Observation
* Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include: Trauma, Multi-system failure, Orthopedic, and GI
* Telemetry work setting required
* Charge Nurse experience preferred
* Teaching Hospital experience preferred
* Vents and Triage experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
* Required skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care/management, and telemetry
* Epic charting experience required
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Parking is free
* Minimum of 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* No local travelers within 50-mile radius
* Pending Ohio license is acceptable; Michigan license must be in hand
* Time off requests greater than 7 days require manager approval
* Schedules are subject to change with two-weeks notice

Facility:

This facility is a Level I trauma center and the largest acute care hospital in the Toledo metropolitan area, operating with 24 staffed beds. As a Magnet and teaching hospital, it provides a comprehensive range of acute care services supported by an extensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more. The facility is equipped with modern technology and maintains high standards of patient care across multiple service lines.
