Job Details:

* Work shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday, with call coverage on two Saturdays and two Sundays per month
* Facility operates 7 OR suites, 1 Cysto room, and 2 C-section rooms with an average of 15-24 cases per day
* Common cases include heavy orthopedics (total joints), GYN/C-sections, urology, spine, ENT, GI, and general surgery - no robotics
* CVOR/Vascular cases include fem pops, cut downs, hybrid cases with cath lab, stents, fistulas, and CABG
* Pediatric cases are limited to tubes and tonsils with rare appendectomies
* Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute OR setting required
* Previous travel experience preferred with ability to jump in quickly
* High preference for orthopedic total joints experience (first scrub) for CST role
* Must be able to perform C-sections
* CST call requirements: 6-7 call shifts per month including one weekend (Friday 3:00 PM through all day Sunday)
* CST CVOR call requirements: 15-16 call shifts per month including every other weekend (Friday 3:00 PM through all day Sunday)
* Call response time: 20 minutes for CST; 30 minutes for CST CVOR
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrubs are provided by the facility
* No floating requirements
* Cancellation policy: 3 shifts per 13-week assignment
* Required certifications: BLS, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Certified Surgical Technologist (TS-C) via NCCT
* Trauma Level 3 acute care setting

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive surgical services department featuring seven operating rooms, a Cysto room, and two C-section rooms. The facility supports a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, gynecology, urology, spine, ENT, GI, general surgery, and cardiovascular/vascular procedures. A charge nurse is present during day shifts with on-call house supervisors available for each shift to support the surgical team after hours.
