RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

* Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
* Minimum of 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* No weekend requirement
* No on-call requirement
* Must be willing to float between like units
* Block scheduling available at manager's discretion
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
* Orientation hours: 24
* Scrub color: Any color; L&D and OR scrubs provided
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Free parking available
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN, LA Fire Card, CA state license
* Must have experience circulating for cesarean sections in the operating room
* Prefer candidate with experience at a facility that performs a minimum of 200 deliveries per month
* Patient age groups: Neonates and Adults
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years

This is an acute care Magnet-designated hospital with 377 total staffed beds, reflecting a commitment to excellence in nursing practice and patient outcomes. The Labor and Delivery unit consists of 10 rooms and 15 beds with a daily census of 12, supported by a robust interdisciplinary team. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and offers a comprehensive range of support services to ensure high-quality patient care.
