Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Neuro Med/Surg unit with 38 beds and a staff of 55
* Patient ratios of 5:1 or 6:1 (estimated, never guaranteed)
* Day shift includes 2 charges without patients, 4-5:1 RN ratio, and 2 PCTs
* Minimum 1 year of current Med/Surg experience required
* BLS certification required
* ACLS certification preferred
* Neuro experience preferred
* Meditech EMR experience preferred
* Work with equipment including IV pumps, seizure monitoring, BiPAP, CPAP, and glucometers
* Perform NIH/stroke assessments, neuro assessments, fall risk assessments, trach care, and feeding tube management
* Follow Neuro Clinical Practice Guidelines for stroke (AANN)
* Ideal candidate is an initiative-taker and strong collaborator with critical thinking skills
* Enthusiasm for neuro patient population and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment preferred
