Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

* Travel assignment for 13 weeks
* Rotating schedule including days, weekends, and call rotation
* Day shift staffing varies based on scheduled procedures and surgical cases with 6-8 RNs on shift
* Night shift consists of 24-hour call coverage typically beginning at 9:30 PM through 7:30 AM Monday through Friday, with 24-hour call coverage on Saturday and Sunday
* Call requirement is a 30-minute response time, which includes being dressed and ready to accept a patient in the PACU
* Call frequency is once a week Monday through Thursday, one Friday every 5 weeks, and 2 24-hour weekend shifts in a 5-week schedule
* Unit self-schedules with nurse leader moving staff as needed to cover the unit
* Patient ratios follow CPAN guidelines
* Work with GE patient monitors, Stryker and Hillrom beds
* EMR system: Expanse
* Perform post-anesthesia care for pediatric through adult patients across all case types including lumpectomies, tubes, tonsils, open heart surgery, and trauma cases
* Float to Endo and SDC units as needed
* Hospital-provided scrubs
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required
* PACU and PACU pediatric experience at a Level II or higher facility required
* ICU experience preferred
* ER experience preferred
* CPAN certification preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* Active New Hampshire nursing license required at time of submission

Facility:

This facility is a regional hospital located on a main campus, featuring a 10-bay PACU unit staffed by 13 registered nurses. The unit provides comprehensive post-anesthesia care for a wide range of surgical cases spanning pediatric through adult populations, including trauma cases. The facility is equipped with modern patient monitoring equipment and utilizes an advanced electronic medical records system to support high-quality patient care.
