Opportunity:

RN - Cardiology

Job Details:

* Full-time position working 40 hours per week
* 8-hour shifts with no holiday requirements
* Collaborate in a team environment to coordinate patient care across multiple areas including Cardiology Clinic, EP/Afib Clinic, and Testing Center
* Perform nursing assessments, problem identification, planning, and reporting of complex clinical data to appropriate EP/Cardiologists
* Provide pre and post-operative education for Cardiology and EP procedures
* Educate patients about cardiovascular conditions and explain treatment options as directed by the cardiologist or electrophysiologist
* Triage patients' physical symptoms and arrhythmias appropriately and consult with cardiologists or electrophysiologists per protocol
* Cover RN Testing Center and Cardiac PET CT Imaging procedures when needed
* Participate in Transition of Care Management to ensure discharge medications and instructions are understood by patients and/or family members
* Review daily lab/test results, physician tasks, and clinical worklists as assigned
* Maintain and update medication and problem lists in the Electronic Health Record
* Minimum 2 years of cardiovascular clinic experience and/or hospital nursing experience required
* 2 years of experience in a critical care or cardiac inpatient unit preferred
* 2 years of experience with telemetry monitoring preferred
* BSN degree highly preferred
* Current Registered Nurse California license required
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
