Job Details:

* Work 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need
* Minimum 1 year of experience in the ER field required
* First-time travelers will be reviewed based on skill and experience
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Medication system: Omnicell
* Documentation system: EPIC
* Patient ratio experience: 4:1
* Floating to other units may be required based on census needs
* Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI, PALS, TN RN License
* Preferred certification: TNCC
* Key clinical skills include triage, IV insertion and maintenance, arterial line management, central line care, chest tube management, blood product administration, procedural sedation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, splint application, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, and management of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

This emergency department operates within a large, well-equipped healthcare system featuring a 27-room, 44-bed emergency department with a daily census of approximately 130 patients. The facility is both a STEMI-certified and stroke-certified facility, supported by comprehensive interdisciplinary services including respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The organization maintains high standards of patient care across all age groups and provides a dynamic, fast-paced environment for emergency nursing professionals.
