Opportunity:

ED Float Pool

Job Details:

* Float pool position covering both Orange and Irvine campuses
* Self-scheduling with weekend coverage required
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Daily census of 125 with approximately 190 visits per day across 72 beds
* Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Epic charting system experience required and must be noted in work history
* Required certifications in-hand at time of application: ACLS, BLS, CPI Blue Card (from Crisis Prevention Institute only - MAB or Online CPI Blue certification not accepted), PALS
* Valid California State License required in-hand when applying (EMSA not accepted)
* Two supervisor references required when applying
* No requested time off within the first two weeks of assignment; maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract preferred
* Key clinical skills include: triage, IV insertion and management, arterial line management, chest tube management, procedural sedation, blood product administration, management of dysrhythmias, ventilated patient care, interpretation of ABGs, 12-lead EKG/ECG, IV vasopressors, psychiatric holds, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
