Job Details:

* Travel experience required; seasoned travelers only
* Minimum 3 years of experience required
* Position will float between units as needed to assist with skills when no patients are on Labor & Delivery, including answering phones and IV starts; no patient assignments in other areas
* Weekends required, equally split amongst staff
* No block schedules required
* On-call required up to once per pay period with a 30-minute callback time
* Self-scheduling
* Expected patient ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4, 1:5, 1:6
* LDRP OB nurse responsible for triage, labor, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, and adults
* Covers all areas of OB including newborn care
* Special procedures include wireless fetal monitoring and JADA device for PPH
* Patient diagnoses include PIH and NAS
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, CLC (preferred), S.T.A.B.L.E. (preferred)
* Required skills: circulate for C-section, labor & delivery, LDRP, sterile vaginal exam, triage of obstetrical patients
* Epic charting system experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Scrub color: any color; OR scrubs provided
* No parking fee
* Holiday coverage required: must work at least one summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day) and at least one winter holiday scheduled in pairs (Thanksgiving + Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas + Christmas Eve, or New Year's + New Year's Eve)

Facility:

This is a small critical access hospital with 22 total staffed beds. The facility supports a comprehensive range of interdisciplinary services including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, social services, phlebotomy, and interpretation services. The OB unit consists of 3 rooms with a daily census of approximately 2 patients, utilizing Epic for charting and wireless fetal monitoring technology.
