Opportunity:

Med Surg RN

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Patient ratio of 1:6
* 54-bed unit with a daily census of approximately 24 patients
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Holiday coverage required: Thanksgiving OR Christmas/Christmas Eve (pending unit need) plus other recognized holidays as needed
* May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs between like units or sister facilities
* Block schedule requests can be submitted prior to assignment start but are not guaranteed
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
* 2+ years of Med Surg experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
* IV start skills required
* Telemetry and management of cardiac drip experience preferred
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Free parking available in any unrestricted space
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics with general Med/Surg diagnoses
* Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams, with peak activity in August and September

Facility:

This acute care hospital operates a 119-bed facility providing comprehensive inpatient medical and surgical services to the community. The Med Surg unit consists of 54 beds across 31 rooms and supports a multidisciplinary care environment with a focus on adult and geriatric patient populations. The facility utilizes Epic for electronic charting and is committed to maintaining quality staffing standards to support optimal patient outcomes.
