Job Details:
* Labor and Delivery RN position with a patient ratio of 1:2
* Average of 6-8 deliveries per day with 13 rooms and 15 beds on the unit
* Must be open to working weekends - every other weekend required, may exceed to meet unit need
* No on-call required
* Float required to Mother Baby unit
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* Orientation is 36 hours
* Facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; 1.5 years is a hard stop
* AWHONN Advanced certification is a hard stop requirement - must have a passing designation
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP
* Epic charting experience required
* Must be able to perform sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision - hard stop requirement
* Triage experience is required - hard stop requirement
* Must be proficient in obstetrical triage and management of high-risk antepartum patients
* Patient diagnoses include labor, induction, preeclampsia, TOLAC, VBAC, multiples, preterm labor, antepartum, and high-risk antepartum
* Scrub color for L&D/OR scrubs are provided by the facility
* Free parking available
* Scheduling preferences may be considered but are not guaranteed; scheduling requests due to additional employment will not be considered
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted at time of submittal
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility

This acute care hospital operates a 320-bed facility offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. The Labor and Delivery unit features 13 rooms, 15 beds, and 2 operating rooms, supporting a wide range of obstetrical cases including high-risk antepartum, TOLAC, VBAC, and multiple births. The unit is supported by an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries.
